You can spend a fortune on lessons and coaching, but until you learn to concentrate you will never reach your full potential. Whether you are a beginner, or you play on the Professional tour, the skill of concentration is something most people must be taught. These materials are designed to teach you how to focus, both with your eyes and your mind (they work together).

In a very short period of time, your play will improve significantly, and it will continue to improve as long as you apply the techniques. And as a bonus, your enjoyment will increase and your anxiety will decrease. This happens because, when the mind knows what to concentrate on, it is relieved of all the other thoughts that have been distracting it. Playing seems easier.

I’m Dr. Robert Soloway. My Ph.D. is in Cognitive Psychology, from Emory University where I specialized in Attention, Perception, and Motor Skill Behavior; all incredibly important in tennis. Much of the research I did used laboratory “sports” like dart throwing, or foul shooting, skills that are easy to score and measure statistically. No one however, was trying to apply the knowledge to actual sports. That’s what I have done.

My book, Tennis in the New Age, takes you on an imaginary weekend to a fictitious Tennis Training Academy. Here you observe the lectures and hitting sessions given to the visitors and have revealed for you the techniques designed to develop the player’s attitude, visual focus and mental concentration. The techniques also develop confidence and reduce nervous anxiety.

The video, Seeing the Ball, is specifically designed for the 98% of players, even many very highly ranked players, who don’t watch the ball well. Learn the secrets to seeing the ball.

I am also available for personal coaching and speaking engagements.

Thank you for visiting my site and good luck with your tennis.
